I wanted to express my opinion here as I think Christianity is an important part of the United States and a lot of the citizens. But the US was founded on the concept of the separation of church and state. Our founding fathers for the most part were considered Deists and not Christians.

One of Descartes basis for his philosophy is the concept of infinity and he argues that it is one idea that God must exist. Since it is something that humans can understand in concept but they cannot actually comprehend. Thoughts?

This is a common argument that since you cannot prove whether God exists or not, you might as well believe just in case there is a God so that you go to heaven. What is everyone's thoughts on this?
