It doesn't really matter what goes on in Heaven, do anything for long enough at it will eventually wear on you.
I couldn't imagine spending eternity in a councious state..... How does one entertain yourself for that long without becomming.... suicidal? :)

I don't believe in anything, really. I do believe that anything is possible, but I think somethings are a lot less likely..... I think its a lot less likely that we go to heaven/hell after we die than the likelihood that we just stop existing.
The theory of relativity has to do with the speed of light in relation to space and time.
If you believe in Heaven the way the bible protrays it, there is no need for the Sun, because God will illuminate his kingdom.... or something like that.
I am just talking about endless conciousness. The thought of being able to think indefinitely.....
I don't understand how that appeals to anyone.

Hi Christy,
Eternity is not boring to me. I have never grown tired of living now - why should I grow tired of living then?
The universe (the known universe) is 30 billion light years across. That's LIGHT years. I imagine it would take me a few trillion years to explore the known universe.
Who knows what else God will create in that amount of "time"?
No. Death is boring. Life is God's greatest gift, because with life we can enjoy everything else, and best of all, we can know and enjoy God Himself forever.
I get excited thinking about it.

Is that how heaven works? Can you leave whenever you want and go on a backpacking tour around the universe?
Does the bible mention anything about mortals acquiring the teleportation ability when you are accepting into heaven?

Hi Christy,
"Can you leave whenever you want and go on a backpacking tour around the universe?"
I don't know the answer to that one. I am working from logic. Why is the universe there and so huge, if we cannot explore it.
"Does the bible mention anything about mortals acquiring the teleportation ability when you are accepting into heaven?"
Not directly. It is implied here:
1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
We shall be like Him. After the resurrection, it appears He teleported where He wanted to go.

Nothing will be created. Everything that is, ever was, and ever will be, already exists. The arrangement of that matter and the molecules that make up everything is the only things that will change. Assuming heaven does exist, it would have to transcend everything we currently know about physcics, space and time.
Eternity doesn't sound boring at all to me. Eternity in a vegtated state or enfeebled state sounds awful though.

I think you are both underestimating the thought of eternity...
You could learn everything there is to know, see everything there is to see, do everything there is to do a million times over... and guess what? After all of that, you still have to live for eternity....
how could that not get old?

ETERNITY BORING?
SPOKEN LIKE TRUE FOLKS WHO HAVE NEVER LIVED.
O that's too bad, and BUMP, before you know it you are olde
and facing death, what a waste.
There is a saying I grew up with spoken from the perspective of
stupid youth
Why are the olde people always so slow? They should be a a hurry
because they haven't got much time left.
The flipside
Why are the youth in such a hurry, for don't they know that haste makes waste?
E=MCsquared deals with poor Einstein's momentary EUREKA,
it does deal about time and space, but what does a MED FLY know
of time and space?
Now compare our genre species on this cosmic dust ball, 6 billions years
and we missed out on the 99.99% of extinct species that preceeded us.
What is time to us, LOOKING OUT, to say someone looking into this asylum?
EVER BEEN TO A ZOO PEOPLE?
That is what we are in currently, like an ant in resin-treacle,or a fly in web before
it's lunch.
We are so STUPID in our current state of KNOW IT ALL, that when TRUTH reveals
itself, we KNOW SQUAT.Take the case of the current crisis in the gulf.
THEY KNEW BETTER and STILL THEY SCREWED UP BADLY, and what was their
rush?
GREED. HASTE makes waste. So much for this stupid specious species that thinks
it KNOWS ALL when it hasn't even scratched the surface.
AND GOD LAUGHED AT THEM, but you lot don't believe in GOD, so that must mean
todays AMERICA is a GODLESS NATION and what of the next generation which will
pose itself off as knowing even more than these current boars.

Eternity boring?
99 percent of the Bible gives moral advice on how to live this life to prepare for a life in eternity and 1 percent about what to expect in eternity.
If we applied some of that advice for the good of humanity as a whole and stop bickering about whether there is a God, then we wouldn't be on the brink of wiping ourselves out through environmental disasters, warfare, obesity... There is some practical wisdom is just about all religions.
And IF there is an eternity, then we'll deal with it the best we can, just like in this life. Could an immortal choose death? No!

What if inorder to deal with eternity God infact chose amnesia over boredom...What if all this is merely God playing hide and go seek with itself

denita, have you ever heard the saying, one gets what one pays for?
When I was still working I had a standard that I lived by and still do>
DO IT COMPLETELY AND RIGHT or get off the pot.
Do you understand the analogy?
IF BP had done their job right in the first place they would be laughing all
the way to the bank, but as in your thought, we apply as little as possible and
think that isn't going to snap back on us.
So what if we applied a few ordinances, and claim AMERICA Christian
That was the whole litmus test of the OT Israel who did likewise, pointing to their
shrine for GOD and saying, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US WHEN GOD IS WITH US?
Sound familiar to us Americans? It's on our filthy money that has no actual value
except the worlds IDEA THAT AS CHRISTIANS we might make good on our
GROSS DEFICITS.
And so they let out more lead to hang us by, while those MOST christian of all-the GOP
AMERICANS stint and mizer this nation into the ground, whether they are in OFFICE
or not.

WHY WOULD HE NEED TO DO THAT?
I guess you have never thought how science works in the labratory?
ONE DAY WE SHALL BE FLUSHED for not being fully done on the pot.?
WHAT IS MISSING OF TODAYS SUPER EDUCATED of the WORLD is they
have no fear.
GO WATCH SAVING PRIVATE RYAN and you greenies will understand when
your last moment comes, you will all suddenly wonder if you were wrong to
SASS- BAD MOUTH about GOD- or blaspheme HIS NAME.
THERE ARE NO NEUTRALS IN GOD's GAME, you are either prepping for
eternity or you are not, and those who haven't a ticket or packed will be left
back at the curb, LAUGH if you like, but ye are warned, you now have no excuse.
