Cigarette Filters Contain Pig's Blood

According to a Dutch study, pig's blood is used in cigarette filters to help stop harmful chemicals from reaching the human body.

I am wondering how outraged members of the Islamic and Jewish community are by this?

More over, since tobacco companies don't release their list of ingrediants.... it isn't always possible to confirm that your particular brand of cigarettes is (or is not) using pig's blood .... do you quit smoking just to be on the safe side?
Do you just assume your smokes are pig-free until proven otherwise?

Looking forward to hearing feedback on this....

Hi,

I guess I'm not a good one to answer this one because I wouldn't smoke a cigarette for a hundred dollar bill, pig's blood or not. It's the nicotine that gives a person lung cancer that concerns me, and the fact it is addictive and very costly. No, I'd rather buy a good book to read.
