Embryonic stem cell research will be renewed in the Obama administration

Embryonic stem cell research offers promise in the development of medical treatments for a wide range of conditions including damage to the brain, spinal cord, skeletal muscles and the heart as well as physical trauma (e.g. spinal cord injuries), degenerative conditions (e.g. Parkinson's Disease), or even genetic diseases (in combination with gene therapy). Federal funding for this research has been blocked by the Bush administration, who vetoed the Stem Cell Research Enactment Act. Barack Obama has stated his "full support for the act".  For the Christians that believe that the use of embryonic stem cells is morally wrong, how do you reconcile that belief with the potential to save thousands of lives from the potential medical breakthroughs from that research?

I don't think it is morally wrong. Whose morality are we talking about here in the first place? If it can save millions of lives I don't see how it could be wrong. The end does not justify the means they say but this is not an absolute. There are situations - - like this one -- where the end does justify the means.
